Soulmate

Incompatible,
It don't matter though
'cause someone is bound to hear my cry
Speak out if you do
You're not easy to find
Is it possible Mr. Loveable
is already in my life?
Right in front of me
or maybe you're in disguise

Who doesn't long for some one to hold?
Who knows how to love you without being told
Somebody why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone

Here we go again, circles never end
How do I find the perfect fit?
There's enough for everyone,
but I'm still in line

Who doesn't long for someone to hold?
Who knows how to love you without being told
Somebody tell me why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone
If there's a soulmate for everyone

Most relationships seem so transitory
They're all good but not the permanent one

Who doesn't long for someone to hold?
Who knows how to love them without being told
Somebody tell me why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone

Who doesn't long for someone to hold?
Who knows how to love you without being told
Somebody tell me why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone
If there's a soulmate for everyone

SPAIN!!

Hey Damas y Caballeros,

So as many of you know I have recently returned from the land of España(!) and had a fantabulous time with the homegirl T- Chiquitina. As promised in the last post I will be giving a shopping guide to Salamanca, Spain, a beautiful town in which we resided for the majority of our trip.

(UPDATE! I wrote this a while ago and never posted it, sorry. Enjoy)

Salamanca is a beautiful old college town in Spain, and as most major college towns, it has some amazing shopping opportunities. After you enter the Plaza Mayor (which is beautiful and has the most delicious and cheap heladeria in the city) there are alley or street ways in which you stumble across Zaras, H&M, Spanish equivalents of Abercrombie and Fitch, and even some high fashion boutiques. I must say that the store I enjoyed most due to its classic and beautiful clothing, and great prices was Sfera. They did have some trendy clothes, but for the most part they had a modern take on classic looks with simple colors and patterns that ultimately comprise great fashion and outfits (for the majority of the world, that is). I wish we had one in the USofA. I'm sure there is one in NY :( I'm visiting soon though so maybe I can find it.

Another NEED to see spot is Adolfo Dominguez's store. While he is a top designer, and his clothes sell for that kind of money, you have to go in and try on one of his gorgeous dresses. Clean lines, bold colors, and a bit of bling and snazziness. Loved it!!! But I couldn't buy it haha. Go look at his collection, especially if you have some money to drop.

If you travel a bit to the edges of the city there is a cute vintage clothing shop called Chicle. They have the cutest clothing items for really good prices, the main issue is quantity and sizing. I would recommend making the mini-trip, if even just to see the fun collection of pins and odd graphic tees and quirky accessories and o-g clothing that they have. Even the store is super artsy and fun to be in. Chicle - just do it!

Obviously I had to go to Zara and H&M even though we have them in the States. Let me just say, those of us living in the states got jipped! The Europeans definitely got the better collections and store layouts. Also Salamanca has 2 Zaras, be sure you visit both of them because they have different selections and quantity of certain collections within the brand.

OVERALL!! Spain was amazing and there are other cool shops and street vendors I could talk about but that would take years to cover and fully express to the few of you who read this blog. I hope you enjoy your shopping adventures in Salamanca and beyond. Besos. Now back to the madness of school...

Opportunist Shopping

So this post is for all the ladies who are opportunity (not bargain) shoppers.
This past weekend I headed to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Scholarship store with three of my girlfriends. For those of you who do not know, the scholarship store is located on 9th and Grand in Los Angeles, and clothing from Forever 21, Rapshody, and other major clothing stores or high end boutiques are donated. You get major discounts on the clothing depending on the condition (undamaged, slightly damaged, moderately and severely damaged) and accessories and shoes are also available. For 2 dresses, 2 tops, a bikini top, and some jewelry I spent less than $45. Forty Five Dollars!!! I have never spent that little money on so much clothing anywhere, even vintage shopping!
I highly recommend this store for their amazing range and selection of clothing but would advise you to get there early because they close exactly on time (and start shoving people out the door 10 minutes early). They DO accept credit and debit cards and are not open on Sundays. Be sure to go with the girls, feel free to grab armloads of clothing, look at everything because some clothing can be easily fixed or doesn't need to be, and just have a good time!

The FIDM Schoalrship store is amazing. Next shopping update will be about location in Spain, and then hopefully Jet Rag. Stay tuned :)
