This past weekend I headed to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Scholarship store with three of my girlfriends. For those of you who do not know, the scholarship store is located on 9th and Grand in Los Angeles, and clothing from Forever 21, Rapshody, and other major clothing stores or high end boutiques are donated. You get major discounts on the clothing depending on the condition (undamaged, slightly damaged, moderately and severely damaged) and accessories and shoes are also available. For 2 dresses, 2 tops, a bikini top, and some jewelry I spent less than $45. Forty Five Dollars!!! I have never spent that little money on so much clothing anywhere, even vintage shopping!
I highly recommend this store for their amazing range and selection of clothing but would advise you to get there early because they close exactly on time (and start shoving people out the door 10 minutes early). They DO accept credit and debit cards and are not open on Sundays. Be sure to go with the girls, feel free to grab armloads of clothing, look at everything because some clothing can be easily fixed or doesn't need to be, and just have a good time!
The FIDM Schoalrship store is amazing. Next shopping update will be about location in Spain, and then hopefully Jet Rag. Stay tuned :)
